Joy Egbejimba
Founder / Owner
Nuciano

Nuciano is a socially-conscious brand, empowered by women and motivated by self-expression. Teetering on the border of trendy, Nuciano, sometimes likes to offer a “surprise” in design by creating colorful, exotic pieces, however, the brand likes the overall concept of traditional construction. Nuciano’s embrace of the modern, powerful woman does not stop the brand from admiring today’s sexy and strong men.

According to Joy, the designer for the house of Nuciano “I have always loved fashion and more structured fashion pieces. There remains a gap between quality and affordability, and the Nuciano brand is my effort to help women feel and look their best!”

When Joy is designing, she is inspired by shape, architecture, and color. Every design focuses on flattering a real woman’s body. Joy’s technical knowledge of a handbag’s proper fit and design, combined with her innate creative abilities, results in an effortless and wearable line that reflect the kind of woman she is herself; strong, sexy, fun, and fearless.

Nuciano is a darling to a lot of celebrities like the likeness of Ms. Oprah Winfrey, Ms. Diana Ross and her family, MC Lyte, Taylor Hoff, Jillian Murray etc. Nuciano has graced the cover of some major magazines, has also graced the red carpet of the Grammys, the Oscars, MTV and lots of major Television coverage.

NUCIANO’S MISSION IS TO HELP EDUCATE THE YOUNG WOMEN IN NIGERIA THROUGH THE NUCIANO’S SCHOLARS PROGRAM. 5% OF ALL SALES ARE ALLOCATED TOWARDS THIS PROGRAM, GIVING THEM A CHANCE TO HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY FOR A QUALITY EDUCATION.

A brainchild of Joy Egbejimba, Nuciano is derived from the word “Nnukachiano” and resonates the freedom to BELIEVE & EXPRESS yourself as an independent woman. From desk-to-dinner, the selected curated collection features elegant designs with a variety of fierce color options. Nuciano is quickly becoming Hollywood’s favourite handbag designer.
