Maria Alejandra Gomez
Community Connector – Eastern Region
Program for Early Parent Support (PEPS)

Maria Alejandra Gomez has a passion for working with the community and connecting people. Prior to joining PEPS, Maria worked with the Latino Initiative and Program areas at Girl Scouts of Western Washington and as Director of Member Services and Family Programs for the Northshore YMCA. She also worked in human resources in Colombia, and volunteered for Seattle Red Cross’ the Language Bank and Disaster Preparedness.

Maria participated in a PEPS daytime newborn group with her daughter, and later on joined PEPS as a contractor for the south Snohomish County region, leading several Baby Peppers groups and helping the expansion of PEPS in the area.

Maria studied social work at Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana (Medellin, Colombia) and earned a Master in Public Administration from Seattle University. Maria is part of the class 2013 of Leadership Eastside. Maria and her husband are originally from Bogota, Colombia and moved to the Seattle area in 2006. As a family they enjoy traveling, eating, and listening to music.
